Glock to test for BMW in December

BMW had been considering running Timo Glock as a test driver in races this year but the German driver injured his wrist in the final round of the GP2 Series in Monza and has been out of action ever since.

Qualifying Report - Black round rubber magic and a few PR stunts

Bridgestone gave Michelin a drubbing in qualifying for the Japanese GP at Suzuka - and there is little sign that the French tyres will be much better than that on the longer runs in the race.

Practice 3 Report - Michael on top in sunny Suzuka

The rains that have dogged Formula 1 in China and Japan finally cleared on Friday with the Suzuka circuit bathed in sunshine, even if there was a very strong wind blowing across the track. The morning session saw no major incident and was dominated by Michael Schumacher's Ferrari, which set a fastest lap of 1m30.653s.

Practice 2 Report - The dance of the second drivers

The second practice session for the Japanese GP took place with a drying track and the hope that the rains that have blighted the Suzuka region thus far have finally cleared and the rest of the weekend will be dry and perhaps even sunny.
