Jordan goes to court
Eddie Jordan began his legal action against Vodafone in court in London, claiming $252m for a sponsorship deal which he says was agreed. Vodafone decided to sponsor Ferrari instead.
Nextel to sponsor NASCAR
It is expected that the Virginia-based wireless communications company Nextel will become the new title sponsor of NASCAR's top series, currently called the Winston Cup.
Wurz escapes MP4-18 crash
McLaren test driver Alexander Wurz crashed one of the new MP4-18s heavily at Jerez on Tuesday, seriously damaging the car and comes just 10 days after another big crash for the MP4-18 in testing.

The announcement that Bernie Ecclestone has bought into Minardi came as a big surprise in Formula 1 circles - as indeed it was intended to be. A few hours before the news Bernie Ecclestone was happily telling journalists that Paul Stoddart had done the sport harm with his Friday press conference.
A decision on the new McLaren this week
McLaren will later this week decide whether or not to debut the MP4-18 at the Nurburgring.

An elegant solution for Formula 1
The leading players in Formula 1 have come up with an elegant solution to the problems of the F1 "fighting fund" after a rather messy press conference on Friday. The solution came on Saturday morning when Bernie Ecclestone offered to by a shareholding in Paul Stoddart's Minardi team.

A settlement for the small teams
The Formula 1 team bosses had a meeting after qualifying on Saturday and it seems that Formula One boss Bernie Ecclestone agreed to help out the small teams to survive, dipping into Formula One funds rather than arguing over money which is regulated by the Concorde Agreement.
Tombazis to Renault?
The initial rumors suggesting that Ferrari's chief aerodynamicist is to go to Toyota may not be true although it is clear that Tombazis has left Ferrari and is now having six months of "gardening leave" before starting a new job.
