Troy Ruttman

The youngest ever winner of the Indianapolis 500, in 1952 at the age of 22, Ruttman tried a Maserati 250F in the 1958 French Grand Prix at Reims, having stayed over after the Race of the Two Worlds Indycar-versus-F1 challenge event at Monza the previous weekend. He retired from racing following his last Indy 500 outing in 1964.
