Lenovo and Williams (Part 2)
Reports coming out of China suggest that the Lenovo Group has announced a sponsorship deal with the Williams F1 team and that the team will carry heavy Lenovo branding. There is no independent confirmation of this at the moment and no obvious announcement to the F1 media. A sponsorship makes a great deal of sense for the company as it tries to raise its profile around the world.
It is worth noting that in the United States Scott Smith, the company's chief executive in the US has stepped down. He was a former IBM executive who stayed with the business when Lenovo purchased IBM's personal computing operations in 2005.
