The drivers at Scuderia Toro Rosso

There is much speculation at the moment as to who will drive for Scuderia Toro Rosso in 2007. There has been much rumouring about Robert Doornbos, who despite all the talk seems to be bound for the United States. There is also talk of Tiago Monteiro.

Our spies in the Faenza camp insist that the current incumbents Tonio Liuzzi and Scott Speed will be back this year and no-one is quite sure why there has been no announcement to that effect.

If it is to allow more speculation and thus get extra coverage for the oft-ignored team it does not seem a very logical move, particularly if the team is still looking for money. The best way to sell a sponsorship if one has no results to brag about is to convince new sponsors that one has good drivers.

All very mysterious.
