A nasty crash for Vettel

German rising star Sebastian Vettel is out of action after a big crash in the World Series by Renault race at Spa yesterday. Vettel crashed in Raidillon (the top of Eau Rouge) while running second in the first of the two races. The car went backwards into the tyres and some of the wreckage from the crash hit his finger, cutting through flesh and bone. Fortunately, doctors were able to save the finger but the injury means that Vettel will be out of action for several weeks. The youngster came into the series to replace Colin Fleming when the American split with Red Bull recently.

A tyre torn from Vettel's car hit Alx Danielsson's car, destroyed the chassis.
