A little light reading

The Grand Prix Drivers Association is supporting the publication of a new safety handbook created by the FIA Institute for all new motor racing drivers. The handbook aims to educate the younger drivers and remind the more experienced drivers about all aspects of safety in motor sport.

"This booklet is an extremely useful accessory for any driver in the sport from karting to Formula 1," says GPDA director Michael Schumacher. "If every driver follows these guidelines then motor sport will be a much safer environment and that can only be good for all of us."

The handbook will be published later this year and one hopes that all the F1 drivers will be careful to make sure they follow its guidelines.
