An eery calm

After all the political action at Magny-Cours either the two sides involved are having a few days off or they have decided to go on talking quietly in an effort to find the right solution. The fact that there has been no word from the FIA would seem to suggest that the federation is going through the latest deal from the manufacturers, looking at the conditions involved - which are believed to include an 80% agreement clause in the technical working group. There are also other questions which must be looked at including whether or not there are competition issues involved with an engine fund. One way or the other, we can hope that the movement is positive as the sport needs a solution quickly in order to begin the process of working out how to improve the show.
