MF1 looking for an engine

Toyota and Williams have yet to confirm their new relationship but there are signs that MF1 Racing is now busy looking for an alternative engine supplier for 2007. The team has shown some improvement in recent weeks but has yet to score any points and attention is turning to next year.

"The latest is that we have no problems," says Colin Kolles. "We have enough options, and we have very good options."

Kolles says that the team is not against the idea of taking a driver associated with an engine deal. This is clearly a message to a potential supplier. Given that Cosworth does not have any drivers it wants to push in F1, it is fair to say that Midland is presumably now talking to Mercedes-Benz, Ferrari and Renault.
