Allmendinger wins another

AJ Allmendinger can do no wrong at the moment, since leaving Rusport to join Forsythe Racing. The young American won his third consecutive victory in Champ Car at the weekend in Toronto, leading home his team mate Paul Tracy and championship leader Sebastien Bourdais. The victory means that Bourdais's lead in the series is now down to 23 points although the scoring system used makes it hard to make up ground if everyone finishes races.

Over in Suzuka Team Impul scored a 1-2-3 finish in Formula Nippon with Benoit Treluyer leading home Tsugio Matsuda and Satoshi Motoyama. Toyota engines dominated with the first Honda being Takashi Kogure in ninth place. Yuji Ide finished 12th.
