A change for qualifying?

There was talk at Monaco on Thursday of a decision this weekend on the future of Formula 1 qualifying with the word being that the teams will agree to get rid of the Sunday morning qualifying session and establish the grid using only the Saturday afternoon session. This is the only possible compromise because several teams have built cars with smaller fuel tanks in order to use the regulations to the maximum and they would be disadvantaged by any of the more adventurous suggestions put forward.

It remains to be seen whether or not the teams will eventually all sign the agreement and without 100% agreement nothing can be done.
