Bourdais wins again in Champ Car

The Champ Car World Series kicked off in Long Beach at the weekend and it was the same story as in 2004 with Newman Haas Racing in dominant form again. Sebastien Bourdais took the lead from pole man Paul Tracy just before halfway and went on to score his 11th Champ Car victory. Tracy finished second ahead of Newman Haas's second driver Bruno Junqueira. Justin Wilson was fourth for Rusport ahead of Tracy's team mate Mario Dominguez and the top rookie former F1 driver Timo Glock (Rocketsports). Cristiano da Matta finished a disappointing 10th on his return to Champ Car.
