All talk but little substance in KL

The Formula 1 circus gathered again in Kuala Lumpur on Thursday and the press conferences gave the assembled the chance to chew over the fall-out from the Australian Grand Prix two weeks ago. There was much talk about Jacques Villeneuve's future at Sauber. The Canadian said that he does not care about the rumours and that he is working as hard as he can to improve. Although the Sauber team is remaining diplomatically quiet at the moment there is no doubt that Jacques needs a good result to stop the talk.

There was talk of the relationship between Williams and BMW but no surprise when Sir Frank Williams brushed off rumours a break-up of the relationship saying that the team has a long-term deal with BMW.

Tomorrow the action will begin on the race track.
