Wild talk about Midland
There has been much chatter about the possible drivers at the Midland-owned Jordan team this year. The current situation is much as before with Timo Glock and Robert Doornbos having spent the last few weeks waiting to see what will happen. Signing both men still makes the most sense for the team as Glock has experience and Doornbos has potential. Both have money.
There are a host of other drivers who do not have experience and a few who do not have money or are contracted elsewhere. One of these is Anthony Davidson. There has been talk of Narain Karthikeyan (because he has raced for Trevor Carlin in the past) and Mario Dominguez because the team has talked to the Mexican but neither seem to have the pedigree to race in F1 and neither has much experience of F1 cars. Jordan may prefer to wait to see what happens with Williams because one of the two drivers waiting to hear about tha job might join Jordan.
