Badoer re-signs until 2006

Luca Badoer the Ferrari test driver since 1997 has agreed to another two years helping the team develop cars for Michael Schumacher and Rubens Barrichello. Badoer is now officially the third driver, which means that if a replacement is needed he is likely to get the nod over Marc Gene, although it must be remembered that Badoer was passed over when Michael Schumacher broke his leg in 1999 when the team decided that it would go with Mika Salo.

There have been rumours in recent days that Salo will be seen in a test at some point this year but these have been denied by Ferrari.
