Trulli will drive next year

Jarno Trulli says that he has a deal for next year but will not say with which team the agreement has been made. It is fairly certain however that the contract is with Toyota and it is not clear why the Japanese car manufacturer is waiting to make an announcement. The fact that Olivier Panis has announced that he will be retiring and will become the team's test driver is a fair indication that he knows that there is no drive for him in races next year. The announcement of Panis as the team's third driver is bad news for Ricardo Zonta and Ryan Briscoe as one of the two is going to end up without a job, although it is believed that Toyota is doing its best to get Briscoe into a drive with another F1 team.
