A new board for the BRDC

The British Racing Drivers' Club has elected a new board of directors with Sir Jackie Stewart retaining his position as president of the club. The club renewed the roles of Vice-President for Sir Stirling Moss, Sir Jack Brabham, Sir Frank Williams, Peter Scott Russell and Henry Taylor and they are to be joined by Martin Brundle, John Surtees and Ron Dennis, who becomes the first associate member to become a vice-president. There was also a breakthrough as journalist Alan Henry and broadcaster Tony Jardine both become members of the board, joining chairman Ray Bellm, Mark Blundell, John Cardwell, Mike Knight, Michael Ostroumoff, Jackie Oliver and Stuart Rolt. Henry and Jardine are the first associate members to be elected to the BRDC board.
