Jaguar Racing confirms Wirdheim

As we have been predicting for some time, Jaguar racing has confirmed Bjorn Wirdheim as its third driver for 2004. It is anticipated that Wirdheim will bring sponsorship to the team from the mobile phone company Eriksson, although this was not confirmed by the press statement from Jaguar.

The announcement of the 23-year-old Swede is a big blow for American Townsend Bell who had been talking to Jaguar about the testing deal. Bell now finds himself with nothing as he is not going to return to Arden International in Formula 3000 where he raced as Wirdheim's team mate in 2003.
