Canada has deal until 2006

According to sources in Canada, the agreement struck between the promoters of the Canadian Grand Prix and Formula One Management is until at least 2006, despite the fact that the event was included on the coming year's World Championship as an 18th race. The financial settlement has been put together with help for Normand Legault from the Mayor of Montreal Gerald Tremblay, the Minister of Justice, who also has the portfolio to oversee Quebec Martin Cauchon and Jean-Marc Fournier, the minister for sports in Quebec. It is believed that the Labatt brewery is also involved in the financing of the event.
