Nurburgring to shift concert

The change in the Formula 1 calendar last week caused a fair bit of chaos in Germany because moving the European Grand Prix from April 25 to May 30 meant that the event then clashed with Rock am Ring, Germany's biggest summer rock concert. The switch may not please the concert promoters but according to sources at the Nurburgring that is what is going to happen.

The Rock am Ring concerts date back to 1985 and over the years have headlined some of rock's biggest acts including U2, Elton John, Bob Dylan, Robbie Williams, Joe Cocker, Huey Lewis, INXS, Simply Red, David Bowie, The Eurythmics, Sting, Peter Gabriel and many more.

The three-day concert attracts around 60,000 people each year.
