A blue plaque for Graham Hill

Damon Hill has unveiled an English Heritage memorial "blue plaque" in honor of his father Graham on the house where Damon grew up in Mill Hill, in the northern suburbs of London. Graham Hill died in a plane crash at nearby Elstree in November 1975, when Damon was 15. He was a double World Champion, winning the FIA Formula 1 World Championship in 1962 for BRM and in 1968 for Team Lotus and is still the only man to have won the World Championship, the Indianapolis 500 and the Le Mans 24 Hour race. When he retired as a driver early in 1975 he had started a record-breaking 176 Grands Prix and had collected a total of 14 victories.
