Firman ready for Monza

Ralph Firman should be back in action this weekend with Jordan. The British driver has not driven an F1 car since his crash in Hungary three weeks ago. Firman underwent a preliminary medical examination by Peter Hamlyn, the Director of Sports and Exercise Medicine at St Batholomew's Hospital in London and the chairman of a ministerial Working Group on Safety and Medicine in Sport.

Hamlyn is a former colleague of F1's doctor Professor Sid Watkins and one of Britain's leading sports doctors but Firmaan must still go through a medical examination by Watkins at Monza.

Williams driver Ralf Schumacher will also have to pass a medical with Watkins after his recent testing accident at Monza.
