Gardner has heart surgery

Frank Gardner, one of the most versatile racing drivers of the modern era, who raced in F1 in the 1960s and who regularly drives the F1 Medical Car in Melbourne has just undergone a triple bypass operation in Australia.

The 72-year-old, one of the pillars of the Australian racing establishment, has had no problems since the operation and is now fit as a fiddle.
