Rumours in the Williams camp

There have been a lot of rumours in Melbourne about problems at Williams but our investigations suggest that things are not nearly as bad as some of the stories which have been circulating. The rumours are understood to have been promoted by a rival team, presumably as an attempt to disrupt Williams's image and performance.

The actual problem is that the team has two gearboxes of slightly differing specifications. The original plan was for the drivers to use one but they have since decided that they prefer the second and that has necessitated a lot of work as parts are in short supply and plans which were made in advance had to be changed at the last minute.
