Hogan at Jaguar
Hogan is a major catch for Jaguar as he has not only enormous experience and connections in the business but he also brings important credibility to the team in the top echelons of F1. It was Hogan who, for example, bankrolled Ron Dennis at McLaren in the early years and who nurtured the careers of many of the star names in F1 in the last 30 years, notably Alain Prost, Ayrton Senna and Niki Lauda.
"My role will be to help strengthen the commercial division of the business and to apply my experience to other areas including the team's relationship with the FIA, Ford Motor Company, Jaguar Cars and other key investors in our business," says Hogan. "Having officially retired from full-time work 1o months ago, the single biggest attraction towards this position was the Jaguar brand and the potential of its associated commercial partners in F1. The team has undertaken some impressive work over the past few months, particularly on the management re-structuring side and the company's commitment towards turnaround is very evident at all levels of the business."
