Renault threatens to quit F1
Renault will quit F1 if the FIA insists that manufacturers build engines which have to last for six races. Patrick Faure, chairman of Renault Sport, said that if the federations insists on a rule that will mean building "tractor engines" there would be little relevance in the sport for the company. Faure said that although he is not happy about the timetable for some of the changes he is not opposed to change. This is slightly at odds with the recent GPWC statement which seemed to indicate that all the manufacturers behind the GPWC are opposed to the rule changes. Faure also said that he felt the rule changes were introduced a little too "aggressively".
