Barcelona testing continues

Antonio Pizzonia was the fastest man in Barcelona Thursday during the third day of testing before the Japanese Grand Prix. The Williams test driver completed a tire program for Michelin while teammate Mark Gene continued to run in the FW24B, fitted with the next generation BMW engine.

Alexander Wurz and David Coulthard continued to run in modified McLaren MP4/17Bs. Wurz, who set the Barcelona track record Wednesday in the newest McLaren, was just over a tenth of a second off Pizzonia's time, while Coulthard was less than a tenth off his teammate's time.

Stephane Sarrazin and Ryan Briscoe continued to run for Toyota, and Anthony Davidson took over BAR's testing duties from Ryo Fukuda.
