Changes at Octagon

The chief executive of Octagon Les Delano has stepped down amid a major reorganisation of the company which controls an important number of motorsport activities, including the Silverstone racing circuit, home of the British Grand Prix. A permanent replacement is being sought but for the moment Delano's job will be done by Mark Dowley, who is head of the Sports and Entertainment Group of Octagon's parent Interpublic.

Octagon's European operations have been handed over to Tim Moufarrige, who was previously in charge of Asia/Pacific operations.

Former IMG executive James Curtis is joining Octago to head the marketing in the hope that Octagon can improve its performance. Octagon's motorsport activities are expected to come under scrutiny as a result of the management shake-up, which has been expected for some time.
