Another win for Bourdais

Sebastien Bourdais wants to get into Formula 1 in the next few years and the International Formula 3000 Championship leader is busy adding to his curriculum vitae. His latest victory came on Sunday in the classic Spa 24 Hours in which he shared a Larbre Competition Chrysler Viper with Vincent Vosse, Christophe Bouchut and David Terrien. The car led for most of the event and came home well clear of the nearest challenger, a Lister Storm driven by David Sterckx, Miguel Angel de Castro and Bobby Verdon Roe. The British car was third for most of the event but a last minute problem put the Porsche of European Formula 3000 championship leader Romain Dumas, former F1 test driver Emmanuel Collard and Le Mans 24 Hours winner Stephane Ortelli down to third place.

Bourdais hopes to test more Formula 1 cars when the current test ban ends.
