Bjork joins Nordic

NORDIC RACING has signed Sweden's Thed Bjork to replace Australia's Ryan Briscoe in Formula 3000. The 20-year-old was a highly-successful kartist before moving into car racing and won the Nordic Formula 3 title in 2000 before switching to sportscar racing. Last year he won the SR2 title at the wheel of a Lola but has been looking this year for a way back into single-seaters.

Bjork comes from the town of Orebro which F1 fans will remember as the place which produced the great F1 driver Ronnie Peterson.
