A week for the test drivers

IT has been a busy week for the Formula 1 teams with the test drivers much in demand. Ferrari ran three different tests at Fiorano, Monza and Silverstone. Most of the work was done by test drivers Luciano Burti and Luca Badoer, but Rubens Barrichello was in action for two days at Silverstone. Williams used its regular drivers but McLaren had Alexander Wurz alongside Kimi Raikkonen and David Coulthard. Renault ran Jenson Button and Jarno Trulli while the team's test driver was out in a Jaguar, alongside Andre Lotterer and James Courtney. Eddie Irvine and Pedro de la Rosa were also in action.

Sauber and Jordan ran their regular drivers but Toyota had Ryan Briscoe and Stephane Sarrazin working alongside Mika Salo and Allan McNish. Arrows ran just Enrique Bernoldi while BAR ran a test at Paul Ricard as well as the Silverstone work. At Silverstone Jacques Villeneuve was joined by his buddy Patrick Lemarie while at Ricard Olivier Panis and Anthony Davidson did the work.

Minardi sent a car to the automobile testing facility at Vairano for two days to do aerodynamic mapping work with Matteo Bobbei at the wheel.
