A little reminder

THE Monaco Grand Prix usually takes place on the Ascension Day weekend which means that Friday is a holiday in the principality and so there is no racing. This year however Ascension Day took place on the weekend of the Austrian GP and Monaco has been pushed back to a date without a public holiday.

This does not however mean that the timetable will change and so the first practice sessions will be as usual on Thursday. Friday will be a day off for the F1 teams and then there will be qualifying as usually on Saturday.

This arrangement will keep the hotel owners of Monaco happy as they can continue to charge seven-night minimum stays to help boost the local economy.
