Ford backs Jaguar Racing

AS we have been suggesting in recent weeks the future of Jaguar Racing is not in any doubt - despite the widespread restructuring within the Ford Motor Company in recent months.

Jaguar Racing team boss Niki Lauda says that he has spoken to the company's chief operating officer Sir Nick Scheele and he has given Lauda an assurance that the Jaguar F1 program has the full support of Detroit.

The links between the team and Detroit will be strengthened by the appointment of Richard Parry-Jones as the man to oversee Lauda's Premier Performance Division.
