Target Geneva

THE first major gathering of the years of the European automobile company executives will take place this week in Geneva with the 72nd Geneva Motor Show. And while there will be much talk about the state of the car industry there are also expected to be a lot of negotiations about the future involvement of the car makers in Grand Prix racing.

FIA President Max Mosley is going to be present at the show for talks with the leading car industry men and the aim is likely to be to work out how to avoid there being two rival championships in 2008.

The Geneva Show is the last annual motor show left in Europe and is expected to attract around 700,000 people in the course of the next 10 days.
