Fiorio leading another consortium
CESARE FIORIO, the former Ferrari team manager, is believed to be behind one consortium believed to have made a bid for Prost Grand Prix. Fiorio was Ligier team director on and off after leaving Ferrari but in recent years has disappeared from the F1 scene and spends most of his life in Sardinia, where there are no shortage of wealthy potential F1 investors.
Fiorio is also close to Flavio Briatore, the previous owner of Prost Grand Prix, but Briatore is going to find it hard to buy Prost again as at the moment he is supposed to be in charge of Renault Sport and buying into Prost would not be a move which would excite his current employers...
