Jordan ends Barcelona test on top
"It's been a very good day", said Fisichella. "We did a variety of set-up work and I did a lot of laps. Last year was a difficult year for me and I'm just getting used to a new car, so putting in the quickest lap time of the week is a good feeling. I'm pleased but it will be better if I can do the same in qualifying!"
Luca Badoer was in action for Ferrari in Barcelona, testing two different F2001 intermediate chassis, while teammate Luciano Burti continued to test at the teams Fiorano circuit.
Fernando Alonso spent his first day behind the wheel as a Renault test driver Friday. The Spaniard completed 33 laps in the yellow and white car, while teammate Jenson Button completed 54.
Olivier Panis and Anthony Davidson wrapped up the Barcelona test for BAR on Friday, and Toyota was once again at the bottom of the time sheets, with Mika Salo completing the testing duties.
The teams will head to Valencia, Spain for testing next week, before returning to Barcelona on January 21.
