Whitaker to join BAR?

THERE were rumors at the Autosport International Show on Thursday that the boss of the Ford World Rally Championship operation Martin Whitaker is to leave the team to return to Formula 1 - with a new job being suggested at British American Racing. It is not the first time that there have been rumors about Whitaker moving on from Ford so we will have to see if they turn out to be true.

Before he moved to rallying Whitaker had a number of different jobs in F1, including being the FIA Media Delegate, the spokesman for McLaren and then Ford. He also worked for Bernie Ecclestone at one point.
