Ferrari, Sauber busy testing on Tuesday

FERRARI and Sauber both tested Tuesday in preparation for the final round of the 2001 World Championship in Japan, as well as for the 2002 season. Ferrari test driver Luca Badoer tested at Fiorano while Felipe Massa was behind the wheel for Sauber at Mugello.

Badoer completed 120 laps, concentrating on development of next year's car. The Italian will continue on Wednesday alongside Michael Schumacher.

European F3000 Champion Felipe Massa tested for Sauber Tuesday, his second test for the team in the past few of weeks. Sauber has not yet announced a replacement for Kimi Raikkonen, who is headed for McLaren in 2002, but Massa is rumored to be on the short list of candidates.

Jordan's Jean Alesi and BAR's Darren Manning and Anthony Davidson will join Massa at Mugello on Wednesday for testing.
