Asiatech confirms Minardi deal

THE Asiatech organization has confirmed that it will be supplying Minardi with engines next year. The deal may also included an option for 2003 and it is believed that the team will get the engines without needing to pay for them. The Asiatech engineers have a completely new V10 engine for next year designed by the reconfigured staff of what used to be Peugeot Sport. They are confident that the new engine will produce more than 800 horsepower and will be competitive next year.

It is a risk for Minardi but if it works out Paul Stoddart's team will have the last laugh...
