Karthikeyan vows to take his chance in F1 test

INDIAN driver Narain Karthikeyan has promised to take his chance when he tests a Formula One car for the first time at Silverstone next month.

Karthikeyan has been given the opportunity to test Jaguar's R2 at Silverstone in mid-June as part of his contract with the Stewart Formula Three team last year.

And while the current Formula Nippon driver admitted that he is nervous about the test, he promised to grasp the chance of a path into Formula One with both hands.

"As the goal of my lifetime is in sight, I feel exhilarated and a little nervous," Karthikeyan said.

"But I know that all I have trained myself for over all these years has been leading to this moment. I owe it to myself to succeed."
