Jordan gets Hamidy

EDDIE JORDAN has announced that Arrows chief designer Egbahl Hamidy is to join the Silverstone team bat the end of February. Hamidy had told Arrows boss Tom Walkinshaw that he wanted to leave the team at the end of his current contract and Walkinshaw and Jordan were left to negotiate a settlement. It is believed that Jordan paid Arrows a considerable sum of money to secure Hamidy's services. It is good news for Jordan although the team still needs to build a state of the art windtunnel and that is going to take a couple of years.

The news means that Arrows has lost another important member of its technical team and will be a setback for Walkinshaw although expectations for the team this year are not high.
