Trulli chases old engineer

HAVING lost his regular race engineer Dino Toso to Benetton, Jordan's Jarno Trulli has been looking for a replacement and has been pushing the Silverstone team to hire Gabriele Dellicolli, with whom he worked at Minardi in 1997. In recent years the Italian has been working at Sauber as race engineer for Pedro Diniz.

Jordan has had to completely rebuild its engineering team following the departures of Sam Michael and Toso. The new team will be headed by David Brown who has been running the McLaren Formula 3000 team in recent years but enjoyed a very successful race engineering career with Williams in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
