Mansell on schedule for Imola

McLaren boss Ron Dennis says that the team is on schedule to have a pair of special "wide-bodied" McLaren-Mercedes MP4/10 chassis ready for Nigel Mansell to drive at Imola.

The team had to build them because Mansell said he could not drive the existing chassis. As a result, Mansell has missed the first two races of the year and his place has been taken by Mark Blundell.

"At the moment we are one day ahead of schedule on the new car for Nigel," said Ron on Saturday. "We are actually building two chassis, one for Nigel and one for the official crash test. The crash-tests are due to take place on April 24 - which is the Monday before Imola.

"At the moment I would say there is a 60-40% chance of Nigel driving in Imola."
